Rent 365 is a record-keeping tool for property owners. You're responsible for the information you enter and for keeping backups. Pro is a Google Play subscription you can cancel anytime. Documents the app creates, like rent agreements, are general templates, not legal advice.
Agreement to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Niranjan V ("I", "me", "the developer"), who publishes the Rent 365 app. By installing or using Rent 365 you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Using the app
I give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Rent 365 on Android devices you own or control, for managing your own rental properties or properties you manage on behalf of others. You may not:
- Copy, modify, resell or redistribute the app, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows
- Remove or get around ads, the Pro subscription or other limits in ways not offered in the app
- Use the app for anything unlawful, including recording people's information without a lawful reason
The app, its design, name and logo belong to the developer. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the app.
Your responsibilities
- Accurate records. You are responsible for the properties, tenants, payments and other details you enter, and for checking amounts before you share receipts, invoices or statements.
- Tenants' information. If you record tenants' names, phone numbers or other details, you are responsible for having their permission and for handling that information according to the law where you live.
- Your device. Keep your phone secure. Use a screen lock or Rent 365's app lock if other people can access your phone.
- Messages you send. You decide what to send to tenants by WhatsApp, SMS or other apps, and you are responsible for those messages.
Your data and backups
Your records are stored on your phone. The developer has no copy of them and cannot recover them. If you lose your phone, uninstall the app or clear its data without a backup, your records may be lost for good.
Rent 365 lets you save a backup file or keep backups in your own Google Drive. Making and keeping backups is your responsibility. Restoring a backup replaces all data currently in the app.
Free plan and Pro subscription
- Free plan. Includes one property, shows ads, and needs an internet connection to use.
- Pro. A monthly or yearly subscription sold through Google Play. It unlocks unlimited properties, offline use, no ads, reports, rent agreements, automatic Google Drive backup and other features shown in the app. Pro costs ₹60 a month or ₹600 a year; prices are always shown in the app before you buy.
- Billing and renewal. Google Play charges your payment method. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. If a free trial is offered, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before then.
- Cancelling. Cancel anytime in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies. For help, contact me at the address below.
- Changes. Features in the free plan and Pro may change over time. If a subscription price changes, Google Play will notify you before it applies.
Documents and figures
Rent 365 can create receipts, invoices, deposit settlements, income summaries, rent agreements and To-let posters from the information you enter.
- Rent agreements are general templates. They are not legal advice and may not suit your situation or meet the stamp duty and registration rules in your state. Have important agreements checked by a lawyer before signing.
- Reports and income summaries are not tax advice. They are calculated from your own records. Check them with a qualified accountant before using them for tax filing.
- Calculations depend on your settings. Balances, carried-forward amounts, rent increases, meter charges and cost splits follow the values and options you choose. Review them before sharing with tenants.
Third-party services
Rent 365 uses services from Google, including Google Play, AdMob, Firebase and Google Drive. Your use of those services is also covered by Google's terms and policies. The developer is not responsible for third-party services, apps or websites, including WhatsApp and the ads shown in the app.
No warranty
Rent 365 is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, the developer makes no promises that the app will always be available, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose, or that data will never be lost.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, rent, income or profit, arising from your use of Rent 365. The developer's total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
Ending use
You can stop using Rent 365 at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any subscription in Google Play. The developer may stop offering the app, or end your right to use it if you seriously break these terms. If the app is discontinued, I will try to give reasonable notice so you can back up your data.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms as the app changes. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using Rent 365 after a change, the updated terms apply.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India. For questions about these terms, contact Niranjan V, developer of Rent 365, at niranjanvevo@gmail.com.
